1.6.21 | “If We’re Following Christ, Christ Comes First” | Mark 8:34-38 Bible Study

Our theme this year is “God With Us.” But, are we with God?

Jesus says anyone who desires to follow behind Him must deny themselves, carry their cross, and follow Him.

A cross was the instrument of the most shameful public execution of His time. Are we willing to give up our lives (metaphorically but perhaps even literally!) for the Savior’s service?

If we’re following Christ, Christ comes first. He ought to be first and foremost in our lives. Everything else comes second.

In our lives, is there something or someone we put before Christ?

In 2021, let’s ask God to give us a burning desire to follow Him — to imitate Him in word, thought and deed.
