Rev. Henderson served as Sunday School Superintendent and as a teacher
while at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Philadelphia. Later, at Canaan
Baptist Church, she was a member of the Board of Christian Education,
Sunday School Superintendent and a teacher.
Upon moving to New Jersey, Rev. Henderson joined St. James Baptist
Church in Beverly, where she served as Associate Pastor, chairperson of
the Board of Christian Education, and as a Sunday School teacher. She
also taught courses at Manna Bible College.
Rev. Henderson enjoys conducting workshops, retreats, and seminars.
Reflecting on her life, Rev Henderson humbly states:
"My life is not about what I have accomplished. The thing that I am
happy about in my life is what my mother told me at an early age. She
told me that I needed Christ in my life. So I made that choice and
accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. My greatest desire is to teach
the Bible, as a road map to a healthy, happy, and productive life where
people can find joy in their everyday lives.
I am a proud mother of one daughter, Terri A. Wilson, who is a biology
teacher at the Willingboro High School. I am blessed with one
granddaughter who brings me much joy...I call her my ‘Sweetie Pie.’ God
has been good to my family. We worship together at the same church home
which is Alpha Baptist Church in Willingboro, N.J."
One of her favorite Scriptures is Psalm 34:1:
