ALPHA FITNESS & WELLNESS MINISTRY
Mission Statement:
The goal of
the Alpha Fitness and Wellness Ministry is to equip
and teach Christian families and communities about
health issues and how they impact our physical,
spiritual, emotional and mental ability to achieve
our God given purpose. We teach and transform
members to become healthy, living temples for God’s
kingdom by providing knowledge and resources to make
necessary lifestyle changes to improve the temple’s
physical, mental and spiritual strength.
Our Ministry Provides:
Group
Strength & Endurance:
Toning and conditioning classes for
anyone who wants to add strength to their aerobic
workout. The strength training program will
strengthen all of your major muscle groups while
achieving a long, lean look and improving your
metabolism.
Personal
Training/Men’s Health:
We provide you with safe,
consistent, creative and structured exercise
programs to enhance your workout and help you
succeed in achieving your fitness goals. Men’s
health tackles everything from prostate cancer to
how to live longer …or at least longer than the
average guy!
Food Management &
Support:
We provide
information on calorie counting, reading labels and
cost effective kids meals along with helping you
establish healthy eating habits.
Nutrition & Supplement
Management:
We
provide information on daily nutrition protection
for targeted body systems, support and key
information on side effects, and the safe effective
use of supplements.
Pilates for Beginners:
Pilates is a method of body
conditioning that is a unique system of stretching
and strengthening exercise developed over 90 years
ago by Joseph H. Pilates. It strengthens and tones
muscles, while improving posture, provides
flexibility, balance, unites body and mind and
creates a more streamlined shape.
Seasoned Women’s
Fitness
“Women Aging Gracefully”
This wellness class is designed to
help women age gracefully. Exercise has been shown
to keep women’s hearts healthy, help control blood
pressure, maintain strong bones, and improve overall
health.
Our fitness sessions will include step, strength and
stretching exercises for all levels. Our goal is to
have fun while motivating you to increase your
flexibility and strengthen your body. Each woman
will work at her own pace.
Kids Health:
We provide information for our
children to make better health choices. We
also show them family fun activities to keep them
active, eating better and having fun.
Walking/Running
Program:
Weekly walk/run program address
heart problems, diabetes and breathing problems.
These exercises provide information for the beginner
to the advance walk/runners.
Gospel Line Dance:
Provides low impact exercise, a fun
way to lose weight and eliminate stress and most of
all Praise God!
